Five Senses' to Benefit SPD Foundation

Five Senses is a beautiful orchid color and is named for a disorder that affects many children - Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD).  SPD is a neurological condition that prohibits the brain’s ability to translate senses into an appropriate behavioral response. Usually we have five senses:  sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch.  Kids with SPD receive sensation messages but their brains cannot process the messages they receive.  The sensations basically slam into their undeveloped brains like an 18-wheeler and they cannot produce appropriate behavioral responses.

 In an effort to bring awareness to SPD and establish AILA Cosmetics in philanthropy, a percentage of proceeds from this color will go to the SPD Foundation.  Our hope is to fund additional research for children like Aila and give families affected by SPD a forum.
