A dry manicure / pedicure completely excludes water and any chemicals that may be added to the water. Water expands natural nails, and invites bacteria into the nail beds, cuticles and the skin around the nails. We recommend avoiding wet manicures / pedicures completely. They’re a dated practice with proven undesirable long-term results as it relates to the health of the nail.

Our 3-IN-1 Nail Color Remover with Pure Argan Oil is the perfect nail moisturizing treatment at the start of our dry manicure / pedicure.  The nourishing Argan oil rubs right off with a clean cotton ball, so you can easily apply AILA’s ‘Prime’ base coat'.

Ideally, you should use it daily or at least a few times a week. It's especially important to use cuticle oil after removing old polish, when your nails and cuticles may be dry and in need of moisture.

To use cuticle oil, simply brush a small amount onto each nail and gently massage it into your cuticles. You can use it at any time of day, but we recommend applying it before bed, so that it has plenty of time to soak in overnight. With regular use of cuticle oil, you can enjoy stronger, healthier nails and cuticles.

A high-quality base coat creates a smooth surface for your polish to adhere to, helping to extend the life of your manicure and prevent chips and cracks. As Cary says, "It acts like a double-sided stick tape."

A base coat also helps to protect your nails from the pigments in your nail polish, which can stain and discolor your nails over time. Our 'Repair' Base Coat is enriched with nourishing ingredients like aloe to strengthen nails and prevent breakage. If you want to achieve a flawless, long-lasting manicure, using a base coat is a must.

Yes, it's important to wait in between coats of nail polish to allow each layer to dry fully before applying the next. If you apply your next coat of polish before the previous coat has dried, you risk smudging and ruining your manicure. Not only can this be frustrating, but it can also add extra time to your manicure, as you may need to start over or touch up any mistakes.

To ensure that your manicure lasts as long as possible, we recommend waiting at least two minutes between each coat of nail polish. This will give each layer of polish time to dry and harden, creating a strong and smooth finish. If you're short on time, you can also use a quick-dry top coat to speed up the drying process. Just remember, patience is key when it comes to achieving a beautiful and long-lasting manicure.
